This 3525 brushless gear motor supports forward and reverse rotation. However, due to the sensitivity of the built-in driver board chip, users must avoid sudden direction shifts. Therefore, please follow these two methods for proper adjustment:
1. Cut off the power supply, wait about 2 to 3 seconds, and then reconnect the power to change direction.
2. Reduce the speed to a lower level using PWM control before changing direction through the white wire connection.

For example, correct lead connections ensure safe operation without damaging the driver board:
- Black wire: Negative pole of motor power supply (-). Never reverse connection.
- Red wire: Positive pole of motor power supply (+). Never reverse connection.
- White wire: CW / CCW direction control line.
- Blue wire: PWM speed control line (0-5V pulse width regulation).
- Yellow wire: FG signal line outputs 9 pulses per revolution for speed feedback.
Also, when white and black wires connect in parallel to the negative pole, the motor reverses direction.

This is a very nice small 12 volt bldc gear motor, got it principally to use in a miniature stage setting, fortunately its RPMs were perfect for the intended use. The gears are made of metal with stable rotation and it’s fairly powerful for its size. D-shaped output shaft is made of steel. Nice one!
