I’ve got several of these powerful geared motors, paired with the matching “flange” that slides onto the shaft, and I use them to power rotating photo tables. They’re connected to a variable voltage DC power supply, which is where these motors really shine. The high gear ratios keep them running smoothly even at lower voltages, so you can easily adjust the speed to create a variable speed turntable, even at lower voltage, these motors only draw a small fraction of an amp. I’m really happy with their performance!

This 12v worm drive motor works great, to just run the motor connect the red and black wires to 12 volts dc, I initially only connected it to 5v power, and it was rotating way too slowly. I quickly realized my error and when connecting to 12v, it rotates at the proper 30rpm. I use a lot of these worm gear motors but the 5882 is new to me.
