I was surprised by how powerful the motor was — the leverage provided by the gear drive (down to 4 rpm) was significant, so the combination served well, even when using a PWM speed control (down to ~ 2 rpm). I’ve run it for a couple of dozen hours so far and there’s been no hint of issues. Over all, ok unit.
