The dc gearbox motors are of great construction & have some good torque. The gearing is so smooth, put a visegrip on the wire to generate electricity. Typically 4-grade students can generate 6 volts to power lights, other motors, etc. With and without the gearbox all OK, some have removed it. Nice~
