Bought 2 for a robot project.A little noisy but does a great job, will make easy work of things regular gear motors won’t do.Great for the price.No you do not need the speed controller. These come with a set RPM. Just the AC adapter and an 8mm attachment point.

For the 10 rpm motor at 12VDC, I measured the stall torque using the test setup shown, great little metal gear worm motor, seems to be of good machined quality and materials. We used it for a project in Intro to Engineering.
