High Torque DC Gear Motor with Encoder Data Sheet
First, the NFP-JGB37-3530-EN is a 37mm high torque DC gear motor with an encoder. It uses metal gears, a D-shaped output shaft, a pure copper coil, and a strong magnetic ring.
In addition, the built-in Hall encoder provides speed and position feedback. Therefore, this motor is well suited for robots, smart machines, actuators, and other systems that need closed-loop control.
Main Features
- High torque: The gearbox supports up to 35kg.cm rated torque.
- Encoder feedback: The AB Hall encoder provides 16PPR base pulses.
- Two voltage options: Choose 12V or 24V DC.
- Wide speed range: Output speed ranges from 12rpm to 1,600rpm.
- Metal gearbox: The gear structure supports stable and long-term use.
- Reversible rotation: The motor supports both CW and CCW operation.

NFP-JGB37-3530-EN 12V DC Performance
First, the 12V version uses a 10,000rpm motor before reduction. As the gear ratio rises, the output speed falls while the available torque increases.
Therefore, low ratios are better for high-speed use. However, higher ratios are better when the load needs more torque.

NFP-JGB37-3530-EN 24V DC Performance
Next, the 24V version also uses a 10,000rpm motor before reduction. However, its listed current is lower than the 12V version.
In addition, the 24V model can work well in industrial and automation systems that already use a 24V power supply. Therefore, it is a practical option for larger control systems.

Important Operating Notes
- First, use the motor only within the listed voltage range.
- Also, choose the gear ratio based on both speed and torque needs.
- Do not keep the shaft locked during operation.
- In addition, avoid long operation near stall because the motor may heat up.
- Finally, test the motor under the real load before large-volume use.

High Power Gear Motor Encoder Wiring
Next, connect the motor and encoder wires according to the functions below. Also, check the power polarity before turning on the motor.
- Red Wire: Motor power supply positive (+)
- Black Wire: Motor power supply negative (-)
- Green Wire: Sensor ground
- Blue Wire: Sensor power supply
- Yellow Wire: Signal A output
- White Wire: Signal B output
Hall Encoder Specifications
In addition, the AB magnetic Hall encoder gives two square-wave output signals. Therefore, a controller can use these signals to measure speed, direction, or shaft position.
| Encoder Type | AB Dual-phase Incremental Magnetic Hall Encoder |
|---|---|
| Line Speed | Basic Pulse 16PPR x Gear Reduction Ratio |
| Supply Voltage | 3.3V / 5V DC |
| Basic Function | Built-in pull-up shaping resistor, direct connection to MCU |
| Interface Type | XH2.54 (standard connection cable) |
| Output Signal Type | Square Wave AB Phase |
| Response Frequency | 100KHz |
| Base Pulse Count | 16PPR |
| Magnetic Ring Trigger Pole Number | 32 Poles (16 Pairs) |
For example, the final pulse count at the gearbox output increases with the gear ratio. As a result, higher ratios provide more encoder counts for each output shaft turn.

Does what it needs to do, works well with a PWM motor controller. Much quieter than the worm drive variant, really good gear reducer!😎

It arrived packed tightly in a box, packaged so well. It is so much quieter than my other gear reduction motor — and it seems to be getting even quieter as the gears “wear in”. I use it to rotate a candle votive in a meditation setting, so I like the fact that it is quiet.
