Mini vibration motors, also known as small coin vibration motors, are small and easy to use. First, they have no external moving parts. Because of this, engineers often use them for haptic alerts in small tools.
The C1020 Series coin vibration motors measure 10 mm in diameter and 2 mm in thickness. In addition, these 3V DC motors fit perfectly into light wearable devices. Currently, the C1020 model is one of the most popular choices on the market.
Engineers designed this motor for devices that need vibration alerts or touch feedback. However, because it produces a soft vibe force of 1.1G, it works best in light devices placed directly against the user’s skin. You can easily drive it using either DC voltage or a PWM signal.
